We’re back and we’re back with a bang. This day last week we welcomed over 100 owners to Naas racecourse for our 3rd annual post xmas get together. We were delighted to sponsor the first four year old bumper of the year yet again and we very much look forward to having some of our own Fifty Stars in the race in two years time.
The Joseph O’Brien trained and John Glesson ridden 4yo filly, Light Up The Dark, lived up to her name to come bursting out of the dark to an emphatic victory for the in form stable. We were delighted to have out friends the whole way from Australia to help us pick out the best turned out and pose for the winning photo.
Naas was a pivotal track in our achievement of being the Number 1 syndicate in Ireland by terms of prize money in 2024 after Fiona MacCoul dominated in the €120k Irish EBF Auction Series Final. She added to our 50% winners to runners strike rate with 2yo’s this year with winners in Ireland, England and France in what was a stellar year.
Can we get the New Year off to the perfect start?
Esque Elegance has been declared to run in Dundalk on Tuesday and hopefully should give a bold showing to kick our year off the way we left off. She’s in for a busy period over the next few weeks so we’re hoping she can get that well deserved first victory beside her name over the coming weeks.
Kara de Thaix will also hopefully look to get back on track in Fairyhouse on Wednesday after a disappointing debut when some of the Mullins camp may have been under a bit of a cloud. I’ve always held her in the highest regard and she was really one whom caught the eye in the Naas parade ring on debut before Christmas. She’s entered in a 2m4f Mares only Maiden Hurdle which should play to her strengths.
One to watch
Adaliz always had a loft reputation to live up to being a half sister to a Grade 1 winning hurdler and being trained by one of the greatest trainers of our era, Henry de Bromhead. Well she still has a long way to go but she is very much pleasing us in everything she does at home, she looks fantastic, is moving well and is hopefully nearing a debut after another schooling race. Henry couldn’t have started the season any better and given the rich vein of form he usually hits during the Spring Adaliz’s owners could be in for one hell of a ride.
Thank you
