What a week! In fact, what a few weeks. Sharp Object’s win today in Downpatrick brought our strike rate in the past three weeks to a whopping 50%. Four winners spread across Ireland (2), England and France carried the white, black and red to victory in some pretty nice contests.

Far Beyond with trainer Tim Donworth (L) and owners celebrate our first ever French winner.

Far Beyond reached a very special milestone for us on Thursday as he became our first French trained winner when he took out a very valuable €25k claimer in Deauville taking home over €22k in prize money. We successfully defended him and are very much looking forward to racing the talented Far Above colt with Tim. He is testament to the prize money on offer in France as in just four starts he has well surpassed his price tag of €17k.

Sharp Object soars to victory in Downpatrick.

The only man that might have a better strike rate than us over the past few weeks is John McConnell. Sharp Object was providing him with his 6th winner of the week as she powered up the Downpatrick hill to win by a going away 8L’s. The very smart daughter of Diamond Boy was as bringing up the second victory of her career meaning every National Hunt horse that has won for us has gone on to win at least one other race (West End Victory the exception but she’s nearing a hurdling debut).

We’ll look to exploit Far Beyond’s attractive handicap mark and take aim at some nice prize pots while we’re likely to work back from the Mares Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival with Sharp Object. Last week’s winner, Far Above The Law, is entered up for Newbury on Friday.

Lights, camera, action.

We’re keeping everything crossed that our run of luck continues as we face into one of our biggest weeks of the year leading up to Breakfast With The Stars on Saturday. Irish Ballet will look to get back on track in Cork on Friday whilst the aforementioned Far Above The Law will look to double his tally on the same day.

Irish Ballet has some smart form in the books as she looks her her maiden victory in Cork on Friday.

Saturday at the Curragh, it’s looking like we’re going to be represented by three runners. Our Goffs London Sale purchase Rock N Roll Rocket looks likely to make the trip across the Irish Sea to take up an engagement in the 5f Listed Curragh Stakes after missing the G3 Molecomb Stakes at Glorious Goodwood due to a foot abscess.

A Piece Of Heaven will line up in the Group 3 Ballycullen Stakes as he looks to book his place in the Melbourne Cup. He was given an entry in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup during the week. Last but not least is our exciting unraced 2yo Fiona MacCoul who will look to get her career underway over 6f on the same day.

The 101 rated A Piece Of Heaven strikes a pose in Joseph O’Brien’s.

The morning in Tinnakill always delivers and is highly recommended but as an added bonus this year we will have tickets to go to the races for everyone in the audience. We need to finalise numbers so please if you would like to attend next week click here to fill out our form. We had a glitch with our last form so would be appreciated if you could fill this out even if you have done so before.

Thank you.

Thank you all for your continued support. It brings us such joy to have brought so many people into the winners enclosure over the past few weeks. We’re hopefully not done yet leading into a massive week and we look forward to celebrating with you in Tinnakill next weekend.
