Queen Of Atlantis got our Christmas off to the perfect start on Friday evening as she dotted in by a length and three quarters in Wolverhampton. It was her second start since switching to Peter Chapple-Hyam and she proved that her luckless penultimate start was no fluke winning in the style of a filly that has plenty more to give.

She was drawn widest of all in stall eight and had a new trip to contend with but vibes from the PCH base were good pre-race, alls we required was a little bit of luck. Callum Hutchinson must be commended for a top-class ride. He ousted her out of the stalls and put her in the box seat. It was a nervous watch as the filly looked to be running green with the first slap down the shoulder at the half mile mark. The nervous moments didn’t last long however as coming around the home bend when asked for maximum effort she duly responded. Callum changed his hands, gave her a crack and away she pulled in good style.

Peter was delighted with the run and said she’s a filly that has more to give. We’ll have to see what the handicapper does but another step up in trip and more racing experience could see even further improvement from the daughter of Advertise.
She was a 40,000gns Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-up purchase from Donovan Bloodstock, the same man that gave us Queen Maedbh the year previous. She recorded a taking breeze clocking very well for her side of the course and coming out favourably on metrics and stride analysis. She clocked in the top 10 fillies in the sale and had a good gallop out which attracted us to her.
Beyond thrilled to secure one of the fastest fillies of the day at Tattersalls
Our Advertise filly joins red hot James Ferguson and could be ready to run within the month

Queen Of Atlantis made her debut in Newbury over 6f running a very good 2nd to the talented money spinner, Woodhay Wonder, who went on to be 3rd in a Group 2 after her Newbury victory before winning a brace of sales races in Newmarket. She lost her way a little bit thereafter on her next couple of starts and a change of scenery looks to have done the trick to revitalise the filly. She looks like one who is set to give her owners plenty of more fun days out throughout the winter.
She was our second of three #BargainBreezer23 squad to have won after Orderofthephonix bolted up in Dundalk in October. The third is the once raced Coulstar who shaped up very well on her sole start in a Naas maiden before a stable accident curtailed her season when on course for a Bellewstown maiden which she was fancied for. She is on the comeback trail as we speak with Johnny Murtagh and had an away day to Dundalk during the week. She looks to be on course for a Dundalk maiden in January.
Syndicates.Racing Christmas Day out
We are delighted to be yet againing partnering with our good friends at Naas racecourse for a complimentary owners day to their flagship jumps meeting of the year for the Grade 1 Lawlors of Naas Novice Hurdle on January the 7th 2024. If you would like to attend please click here to fill out the form for tickets. We are pleased to be yet again sponsoring the final race on the card the Fifty Stars “What about those first foals” Bumper. Naas is one of the best tracks in the country and they always put on a good show so we are excited to be hosting our first big owners event of the New Year in Naas.
West End on route to more Victory
Our bumper winner West End Victory has stepped up her work in Closutton and is on course back to the racetrack for a maiden hurdle. Rachel Blackmore rode her work last week and all went well. The exciting daughter of Westerner won her bumper on debut in February before running a good 5th in a Listed Bumper at the Fairyhouse Easter Festival. A step up in trip and an obstacle look right up her street and we’re excited to be getting her back out on track in the not so distant future.

The Tuesday Take
We’ve had a super response to Jack’s new segment published every Tuesday where an owner posses him a question and he comes up with some innovative solutions. This weeks take was a super read as Jack delved into the recent sales and breeding industry and came up with some very bright ideas that could reinvigorate the game. If you haven’t read it yet take a look here. If you have any topics that you would like covered please do get in touch with jack@syndicates.racing.
Each week Jack takes on a new topic proposed by one of our owners in his #TuesdayTake
Paddy Walsh asked: Any ideas to help smaller breeders and owners like me? Brought two foals to NH sales and found it very tough going
Here is Jack’s response https://t.co/UqWkB0GiF1

Syndicates Horse Of The Week
We’ll head back to the jumps this week and preview our final store purchase of 2023, Cabaret Princess. If ever there was a horse destined for the white, black and red of Syndicates.Racing it was this filly. She is by the Tinnakill homebred but ill fated stallion, Casamento out of La Dame Brune making her a half sister to our redoubtable star mare, Cabaret Queen.
Cabaret Princess at Goffs Uk.
She joined the team at a cost of £36,000 at the Goffs UK Spring Store Sale from her breeders, Mill House Stud. It was this very same sales ring that her older half sister was sourced for a scarcely believable £13,000 in 2019. Cabaret Queen went onto win the Munster and Kerry National’s, competed at two Cheltenham Festivals, finished 3rd in a Galway Plate and was the first mare home in the 2021 Grand National on her final start.
Cabaret Queen and Paul Townend en route to Kerry National Victory in 2020.
It’s safe to say the Queen firmly got us on the path to where we are today and we have a lot to thank her for. Cabaret Princess bares a lot of similarities to her older sister. She has the same distinct white blaze down her face, she has a huge intelligent ear, good depth of girth and has that same compact, refined size of Cabaret Queen.
Cabaret Princess is very much made in the mold of her older sister.
She has come through two spells of pre-training with Sonny in good stead and is on a small break before heading back to Sonny in a couple of weeks. She has a good attitude toward her work, is of good nature and has schooled well over hurdles. She joins Willie Mullins and could debut in Spring / Summer 2024.
Thank you.
I would like to wish you and your families a very Happy Christmas. Thank you so much for your support in 2023 we can’t do it without our owners. It was lovely to cap off the year with a winner on our final runner and given the squad we have assembled for 2024 we’re in good shape to start the year just as we left it. If there is anything we can do please reach out john@syndicates.racing.
