The Sunday Syndicates Post – Vol. 2, Issue 25

There was a big turnout in Fox Covert stables on Saturday morning to see Fast Tara being put through her paces under jockey Niall McCullagh. Johnny, Orla and the whole team catered for us all very well with tea, coffee and snacks post gallop.

Johnny was brilliant with his time as always talking about his progression as a trainer, how he thinks, where he started and what he wants to achieve. Fast Tara was impressive in her gallop and is one to keep an eye on. She’ll likely debut in the next couple of weeks when there’s a bit of ease in the ground.

Nós heads back to the West

Nós na Gaoithe is favourite to break her maiden over hurdles at 6:25pm in Ballinrobe tomorrow. She’s a filly we’ve always liked and has been unlucky not to shed her maiden tag thus far, jumping having let her down on both starts over hurdles. She’s one from one in the West of Ireland having won her bumper in Sligo on August 5th last year. There’s a good crowd of owners attending whom we wish the best of luck to.

Jessie up next

We’re very much looking forward to heading to the historic Commonstown Stables on Saturday to see Snowhaven in action with Jessica Harrington. Snowhaven has yet to hit the track but is one who has posted some impressive pieces of work at home. Jessie is in scintillating form of late and has yet another phenomenal season.

Stores progressing

We were delighted to send out the first updates on our new national hunt fillies during the week. Tom and David Brickley of Ard Erinn Stud are breaking in the Walk In The Park and Masked Marvel fillies. The WITP is already riding and really enjoying her work and the Masked Marvel has taken to the whole process with ease. Micháel Conaghan has our Milan filly who he really likes. She’s driving well and has been over a pole. Our Westerner filly joined Cabaret King and West End Victory in Sonny Carey’s. He reports her as a lovely filly who is very straightforward.

Thank you.
