The Sunday Syndicates Post – Vol. 2, Issue 20

And breathe. We highlighted in last weeks issue how we were going to be in for a hectic month and we certainly kicked the month of June off in some style. We somehow managed to secure two high quality prospects at this weeks record breaking Goffs Landrover Sale. Trade was simply remarkable. There is an insatiable appetite to buy racehorses at the minute and full credit must go to Goffs who assembled a top-class catalogue of some of the finest national hunt stock in the World. Throw end-users, bloodstock agents, the P2P men, syndicates, the Americans and even the Racing Blogger into the cauldron and the result was relentless trade throughout both parts of the sale.

We welcomed 20 owners onsite on Tuesday and again we extend our thanks to Goffs who catered for us so well, consignors who gave us their time and pin-hookers who explained the process of getting horses to the sales from the time they were purchased as foals. It was a thoroughly enjoyable day and members were onsite to witness our first purchase of the week.

We got on the board early before things got hectic and we were delighted to add lot 54 to the Syndicates.Racing team. A Milan half sister to the four time Grade 1 winning legend Road To Respect. She is a lovely, strong, loose moving filly who will be targeted at the Land Rover Bumper at the Punchestown Festival next year.

Milan has been a consistent source of top-class national hunt horses who have become household names over the last decade. Just this year he sired Marie’s Rock, the winner of the Grade 1 Mares Hurdle at both Cheltenham and Punchestown Festivals. The eight time Grade 1 winner Jezki is by Milan as is Grand National hero One For Arthur. Santini, Monalee, Beat That, the list goes on and on. Even the winner of this years Land Rover Bumper, Absolute Notions, is by Milan and we’re excited to announce that the man responsible for that horse, Michael Conaghan, will indeed break and pre-train our filly.

Cheltenham Festival winning trainer Peter Fahey has been on a relentless rise up the Irish training ranks and has been a man on our radar for quite sometime so we’re delighted to add him to the Syndicates.Racing roster. Belfast Banter broke both his Cheltenham and Grade 1 ducts when he completed the County Hurdle/ Aintree Novice Hurdle double in 2021. Most importantly for us Peter has proved a dab hand at training fillies headed by the Grade 2 winning Royal Kahala, talented but unlucky Battling Bessie, Shop Dj and Gypsy Island are just a handful of talented blacktype fillies which Fahey has had through his hands in the last few seasons.

Our proven track record with well bred national hunt fillies speaks for itself. We used the exact same processes to select this filly as we did with Cabaret Queen, Grangee and Nós na Gaoithe. We already had a massive response pre-launch so we don’t expect shares to last too long. If you’d like to get involved click here for full share details.

Royal Ascot Ready

In a very short period of existence Syndicates.Racing horses have brought owners to Cheltenham, Aintree, Punchestown, Leopardstown, The Curragh, Galway and now we can add Royal Ascot to the list. Our modus operandi is to get owners to the big days for little money. This week we have our first two runners at the Royal meeting and we’re mightily excited.

Lemoss de Sousa put Golden Mayflower through her final paces on Cambridge Road during the week in anticipation of her run in Fridays Sandringham Stakes. She is in very good form at home and whilst we’ll be hoping for as much rain as possible she deserves her place in the lineup and she is a filly we hold in very high regard.

Our second runner of the week will come in the shape of Mise le Meas in the Group 3 Jersey Stakes on Saturday. We’re very excited to welcome our American partners, Medallion Racing/Taylor Made Partnerships, over to watch Mise compete on one of the Worlds most famous stages. The Jersey is always a hot race but Mise came through her final piece of work well during the week and we’re hoping that her final burst of speed can land her a place in the prestigious race.

We’re looking forward to welcoming a big crowd to the picnic on Wednesday which promises to be one of the highlights of the week. In any event it’s another massive week for all of us at Syndicates.Racing.

Derby Sale prep

Two bought but we’re not done yet. We’ve begun scaling through the Derby Sale catalogue to add another one to the national hunt roster. We’ve managed to buy well at the last two Derby sales and we’re hoping for much of the same this year albeit, it’s bound to be a very strong market yet again.

Herd goes Royal

To make the fun at Royal Ascot even more exciting we’re running a free to enter competition to win a share in Fast Tara in training with five time Royal Ascot winning jockey and now top class trainer, Johnny Murtagh. All you’ve got to do is top the table at the end of the week by predicting the week’s action. Click here to join our leaderboard and get predicting.

Thank you.

Thank you for your sustained support. We can’t go to the sales and purchase such quality animals without the backing of our owners. We also wouldn’t be able to have two runners at Royal Ascot so as ever we’re extremely grateful and as excited as you all. If there is anything we can do please do let us know john@syndicates.racing.
