The Sunday Syndicates Post – Vol. 2, Issue 19

A series of impressive workouts plus a potential debut at this years Galway Festival sent shares spiralling out of control on our Gleneagles filly with Gavin Cromwell. She is now completely sold out so well done to those who secured their shares as we now look forward to a very exciting season.

Jockey Gary Carroll has partnered her in her homework and has given excellent feedback to date with his last update reading “she’s a nice filly, I quite like her”.

Galway is always one of the highlights on the racing calendar and whilst we haven’t broken our Galway duct yet we’ve created some great memories at the Festival. Munaajaat was the subject of a monster gamble in 2019 before Cabaret Queen ran an excellent third in the Galway Plate in 2020. Champions such as Tarnawa and Classic winner Hermosa have started their careers in the 7f fillies maiden in Ballybrit so we’ll be hoping we can follow in their illustrious footsteps.

Nós given Listowel target

We had probably one of our best and most memorable moments to date in Listowel when Cabaret Queen just got her nostril in front in the Kerry National in 2020. She also got her Syndicates.Racing career started at the same venue in 2019 when she finished second in a handicap chase so safe to say it’s a track we’re quite fond of.

Nós na Gaoithe will be the warm favourite to hopefully uphold our good relationship with the Kerry track on Monday when she lines up in the Nora Canty Mares Maiden Hurdle with Paul Townend back on board. She’ll need to improve on her jumping from Cork when she went agonisingly close to making a winning debut over obstacles four weeks ago. It would be nice to have a winner on the eve of the Goffs Land Rover sale where we will have 40 owners in attendance on the Tuesday.

Flying Freedom Falls

Owners were delighted to get an update from in-form trainer Jack Davison during the week which you can view below. She’s been a filly we’ve been looking forward to for quite some time so we’re hoping that our patience will pay off and she can keep progressing towards a start this month. She will be our next horse to sell out as only 4% remains so if you’ve missed the Gleneagles filly and the Australian syndicate don’t let another one get away and secure your share here.

There’s massive excitement in the Davison camp as Mooniesta is a live outsider in the Group 1 Kings Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot. She has been the flag bearer for the stable over the last couple of seasons and everyone will be hoping she can add a Group 1 to her already illustrious CV at the Royal meeting.

Best of the best

Last year stable star Mise le Meas went toe to toe with some of the best fillies on the planet on debut at the Curragh. She finished 3rd, one place behind Fridays Oaks winner Tuesday and two places behind Discoveries who won last years Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. Mise will attempt to add to the role of honour when she lines up in the Group 2 Jersey Stakes in Royal Ascot.

Johnny Murtagh has identified the same maiden for Fast Tara to run in this year all going well. She has done nothing but please in her homework and she is another filly to really get excited about. If she can give us half as much sport as Mise le Meas has then we’re in for a cracking season. Johnny has trained a 2yo maiden winner for us in each of the last two seasons, a mean feat by anyones book.

Busy period

The next three weeks are shaping up to be mightily busy for all of us at Syndicates.Racing. We’re hopeful to be active at this weeks Land Rover sale to add another couple to the National Hunt team. It will also be great to welcome such a large group to the sales complex with us and go through the whole process of trying to source our next National Hunt star.

We’ll bounce out from the Land Rover sale straight into Royal Ascot where Golden Mayflower is an intended runner in the Sandringham and the aforementioned Mise le Meas in the Jersey. On Wednesday we have also extended the invite to all syndicate members to join us at the Cantillon/Marnane/Kelly Picnic on the Wednesday when the Tinnakill homebred State Of Rest will attempt to add the Group 1 Prince Of Wales Stakes to his impressive CV.

We’ll have to dust ourselves off pretty sharpish as the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale is the week after the Royal meeting. We’ve been successful in buying from the Derby sale the last two years headed by Nós na Gaoithe and last years purchase West End Victory.

As if all of that wasn’t enough Irish Derby weekend follows directly after the Derby sale and with the potential debuts of Fast Tara and Freedom Falls at the Curragh it’s a monster period for us and all of our owners.

Thank you.

Thanks for reading. We hope you are just as excited as us for the upcoming syndicate activities, runners and events. We try to give our members an all encompassing experience of the thoroughbred industry outside of just the horse(s) your involved in. If you’d like to get involved or if there is anything that we can do for you please do let us know john@syndicates.racing.
