The Sunday Syndicates Post – Vol. 2, Issue 17

Congratulations to syndicate member Tom Casey who won the Naming World Cup for our Westerner filly out of Zara’s Victory. Her arrival to Closutton is imminent and we’re very much looking forward to getting her started with the hope that she can follow in the footsteps of Cabaret Queen, Grangee and Nós na Gaoithe.

Day at the sales

We’re scaling through the catalogues for the upcoming store sale and we already have our eyes on a couple of lots to add to our national hunt team. We’re giving you the opportunity to come and join us at the Goffs Land Rover Sale where we will take you through the entire sales process of trying to buy a horse. If you would like to come along click here to fill out the Google form. We’ll look at some horses, go through the shortlists, have some lunch and hopefully try to bid on a couple.

Royal Ascot Picnic

At Syndicates.Racing we attempt to give you an all round experience in the thoroughbred industry aside from trips to see your horses at the races and stable tours. There’s trips to the sales such as the one above, visits to leading stud farms, race day events and now we’re giving you the chance to join us at the event of the summer.

The Cantllon and Marnane families in association with Peter Kelly come together every year at the Royal meeting to host a mammoth picnic for friends and family to bask in the glory of one of the biggest weeks on the racing calendar. This years picnic will be held on Wednesday the 15th of June and we’d like to extend the invite to our syndicate members. It could be a big week for Syndicates.Racing as both Golden Mayflower and Mise le Meas are on course to run during the week and who knows what 2yo could appear before then to book their ticket. Click here if you would like to attend.

Gleneagles starts to soar

A five length demolition job by Royal Scotsman was quickly followed by a €210k Gorsebridge breeze-up buy from Richard Brown and an unlucky run from Sesai in the Group 3 Gallinule Stakes marked another massive week for Gleneagles.

We were delighted to get yet another update from Gavin Cromwell’s team on our very own Gleneagles who has slotted into her daily routine with ease. She did a nice piece of work this week and Gavin, Gary and all the team are very happy with her progress. We’re excited to get her started in the coming weeks so why not join us? Theres only 20% remaining. Click here to get involved.

State Of Rest loses little in defeat

The Tinnakill homebred just fell short in his quest to land a 4th consecutive Group 1 on a third continent in todays Tattersalls Gold Cup. An enterprising front running ride by Ryan Moore on High Definition set a gruelling pace which had all of the principals in full flow from inside the 2f marker. Alenquer managed to reel him back in the final strides with State Of Rest coming hard at the line to finish 3rd.

He’s a remarkably tough, consistent, talented performer who has represented the farm with such honour. His dam, Repose, was snapped up by Juddmonte this week in a private deal as she has made such a bright start to her broodmare career. It only looks a matter of time before State Of Rest adds another Group 1 to his burgeoning CV.

Low Stock Alert

There is now just 5% left in Freedom Falls who is in training with Jack Davison. Mooniesta’s excellent but slightly unlucky second in Saturdays Group 2 sent shares spiralling. This filly looks to be completely sold out within the next few days.

Cucumbear skipped her intended Bath target in favour of a fillies only race towards the end of this week. The in-form Dave Loughnane is eager to give her the best opportunity to win her maiden on her next start, something which we believe is well within her reach. There is now only 10% remaining in her and she is a lively outsider to get on the Royal Ascot team sheet.

A solitary share has become available in Cabaret King so you would want to act quick. We’re excited to get him into Willies in the coming weeks and we’re hopeful that he’ll be able to provide us with a lot of fun in the coming seasons.

Our Australian colts syndicate was very well received, even more so than we anticipated, leaving one share remaining. It’s grabbed a global group of members who received updates this week from Ciaran Maher & David Eustace and the Freedman’s. It’s a syndicate with any amount of possibilities.
