Who is she?
A classy Kapgarde heading to Gordon Elliot, just like Kapgarde’s best filly Brighterdaysahead. Her stable name is Kate.
Why her?
Is lightening about to strike twice?
In 2022, a Kapgarde filly arrived into the Derby Sale. She made €310,000 to be trained by Gordon Elliot. She turned in to Brighterdaysahead, one of the best mares in training winning the Grade 1 Mersey Novices’ Hurdle (Grade 1)
In 2024, our Kapgarde filly arrived into the Derby Sale. She made €20,000 to be trained by Gordon Elliot. Yes, we were pretty chuffed with that bit of value too.
Not only is she by Kapgarde but her mother, Adorinha, won a listed race over hurdles at just three years of age. That precocity is a hugely exciting influence for this filly to have up her sleeve and should mean she’s one of the first of our 2024 team to hit the track. Gordon bit our hand off to get this filly as part of the team and we can’t wait to see what the leading trainer can deliver with such a bucket of potential.

Where next?
Our dream is that this is a filly to get us to those big days – think Punchestown, Leopardstown and Cheltenham. We’ve mapped out a plan with Gordon to get there which started with investing in breaking in with Jamie Codd (one of teh best amateur jockeys of all time) and he has loved her from day one. She’s now got her flip flops and sunglasses on and we’ll build towards joining Gordon’s team for a lot of fun. There’s Brighterdaysahead with this girl.
