Who is she?
An attractive daughter of Great Pretender, the same sire as Lossiemouth, Benie Des Dieux and our own Grangee. Her stable name is Rhaisdtat.
Why her?
We don’t mind admitting it. We’re addicted. We’re addicted to Great Pretender fillies. Possibly the best fillies stallion of all time has served us well – our own Grangee by Great Pretender won at Galway, Fairyhouse, the Dublin Racing Festival and the Punchestown Festival for us. This mare was the only Great Pretender filly sold at auction in her year of sale. They are like four leaf clovers, you never see them but when you find them they are very lucky.
Where next?
We’ve invested a lot of time into this filly already with two stints – one with Sonny Carey and one with Jamie Codd. Those horsemen have spent countless hours galloping and schooling our filly so she can thrive in her career. She has now arrived with Willie and the goal will be a bumper in coming months. From there, we’d love if she could emulate our own Grangee and progress to the Dublin Racing Festival, Cheltenham and Punchestown.
