Who is she?
An imposing daughter of Diamond Boy from one of the best families in horse racing. Her stable name is Luna.

She’s from the immediate family of Ezeliya, the brilliant winner of the Oaks this year for Dermot Weld. It’s a page so good – they couldn’t even fit the third dam on the page for goodness sake.
As the saying goes however, you can’t train a page. That’s why we smiled when she came out of her stable at Goffs. She’s a powerful, imposing lady – she’s tough not to love. Exactly the physique to thrive in jumps racing. Her family three has been nurtured by the Aga Khan for generations but it doesn’t lack for jumps credentials that give that toughness. This filly’s mother is a half-sister to Ebaziyan, Willie’s first winner of the Supreme Novice Hurdle. Our Diamond Boy filly’s own half-sibling Mahland too is making an impact over hurdles, winning on it’s most recent start at Ffos Las by four lengths.
It’s a potent potion – Willie Mullins, that pedigree and her good looks – we can’t wait to see this diamond sparkle.
Where next?
She’s been broken in by Barry Fitzgerald, a horseman to his finger nails. Our dream would be that she could do what her uncle did and win at the Cheltenham Festival. That isn’t our only focus of course, there is so much fun to be had hopefully winning her bumper and then progressing to jumps at some of the best racecourses in Ireland and the UK (Willie is fond of a boat now that he has had a taste of a British Championship). If she can deliver on the racecourse, she’ll have huge residual value too with a pedigree so deep.
No wonder she looks so tough. It’s just tough so say no to a filly this exciting.
