Exciting future for Ellen Kelly, our new Willie Mullins star
Congratulations to our owners of Ellen Kelly. She won in emphatic fashion at Killarney by 21 lengths in the following up her success at Sligo in June.
Patrick Mullins told IrishRacing.com:
“Kudos to Jack Cantillon and John Bourke who bought her for €13,000 and she is improving with every run,” the winning rider said of the Syndicates Racing-owned victor.
“She surprised me how well she picked up. I got a fright when I realised how far clear we were as I was expecting Colm Murphy‘s mare (Savante) to come and catch us, but she has obviously run below par. We’ll go for a blacktype bumper somewhere.”
Ellen is trained by Willie Mullins and was ridden by his son Patrick Mullins. Ellen is a daughter of Westerner and was bought at the Tattersalls July Store Sale.
