A Piece of Heaven cashed a cheque for €120,000 with his herculean effort for second place in the €600,000 Irish Cesarewitch. It’s not often that our owners stand in the parade ring beaming from ear to ear for coming second but we couldn’t stop ourselves after this result. Given a peach by Luke McKenna, he finished an ever diminishing half a length behind The Euphrates.
